Data shows that mergers and acquisitions in the U.S. accounted for 43 percent of last year's global deal volume and that the nation's technology industry was responsible for much of the activity. The sector continued its dealmaking run over the past week with a batch of transactions that totaled nearly $3 billion in value and yielded assignments for Am Law 200 stalwarts Fenwick & West, O'Melveny, Weil and Wilson Sonsini.
