What started as a single project for a client to create a program to prevent intellectual property loss has become the latest product offering from ZyLab Technologies.

On Tuesday, ZyLab unveiled its Intellectual Property Protection Program. In a press release, ZyLab emphasized that, in today’s world, the protection of intellectual property is important and noted that there were many ways in which sensitive patent, trademark, copyright or trade secret information could make its way to the general population. “IP is not only stored in well protected or encrypted repositories, but also resides on personal computers, laptops, home computers, removable storage, in cloud locations such as BOX.net or in personal email boxes,” said the press release. “This vast amount of big data is often unstructured, unprotected and of unclear ownership, exposing any IP to risk of theft or leakage.”
