Mayer Brown JSM Partner Moves to Vietnamese Firm

Vietnamese firm Vilaf has hired a partner in Ho Chi Minh City.

Kevin Hawkins was previously a partner with Mayer Brown JSM specializing in corporate, energy and real estate matters. He also advises on trade and employment matters in Vietnam.

Hawkins joined Mayer Brown JSM in Ho Chi Minh City in 2009 and became a partner two years later. Prior to that, he spent six years with Allens, also in Vietnam. Before relocating to the region in 2003, he was an associate in Washington, D.C., with the firm now known as Bracewell & Guiliani.

One of Vietnam’s leading domestic firms, Vilaf now has 54 lawyers, including 12 partners, in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi offices.
