The U.S. Senate Monday confirmed Department of Energy general counsel Gregory Woods to the federal bench, filling the last remaining vacancy in New York’s Southern District.
The nomination of Woods, a former partner at Debevoise & Plimpton’s corporate finance and Latin American practice groups between 2004 and 2009, didn’t generate controversy. President Barack Obama chose him for the spot in May.
