SAN FRANCISCO — Intel Corp. has ditched its counsel at Bingham McCutchen and hired Munger, Tolles & Olson to fight claims that the company struck an illegal pact with other tech giants not to poach each other’s employees.

Munger Tolles partners Gregory Stone and Bradley Phillips, both based in Los Angeles, will defend Intel in a class action on behalf of former skilled employees who accuse the company of driving down their wages by conspiring with competing tech firms, according to a filing Friday evening in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. They replace a Bingham team led by partner Donn Pickett of San Francisco.
