Simmons & Simmons has added a partner to its Hong Kong office.
Gaven Cheong was previously a counsel in Hong Kong with Sidley Austin, where he worked in the investment funds practice. He advises on the establishment and structuring of funds, as well as on related contentious matters and corporate insolvency work.
Cheong first joined Sidley in 2006 as an associate and was promoted to counsel in 2012. He had also previously worked as an associate in the Hong Kong offices of Clifford Chance and Herbert Smith Freehills.
