In defending former Spectranetics CEO John Schulte, Kirsch didn't try to downplay every accusation in the government's prosecution. Instead, Kirsch kept arguing that Schulte never intended to defraud the government or physicians about the use and importation of his company's medical devices. That argument helped convince a jury to acquit Schulte on 11 of 12 charges, and helped persuade a judge to give him a light sentence for the one conviction.
