While a number of Am Law 100 firms have consolidated their offices in the Middle East this year, two are bucking the trend by opening new outposts in the region.

Shearman & Sterling, which has had an office in Abu Dhabi for 40 years and an even longer history working on Iran-related matters, announced Tuesday that it will open an office in Dubai.
