Mexican corporate lawyers are in high demand as international law firms recruit attorneys and open offices to handle the expected work that will come from Mexico's opening of key economic sectors to foreign investment.
In addition to widespread energy reform, Mexico is opening up its telecommunications and broadcasting industries, which for years have been dominated by America Movil and broadcaster Televisa. The telecom reforms aim to increase competition in order to get better coverage and lower costs for consumers, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto has said.
