India’s Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co. has opened a new office in Gurgaon, a financial and industrial center near the country’s capital, New Delhi.
The office, Amarchand’s eighth, will focus on corporate transactional work, with M&A partner Saurav Kumar, private equity partner Ravindra Bandhakavi, intellectual property partner Ranjan Negi, and general corporate and taxation partner Amit Kumar relocating from the firm’s base in New Delhi. The new office opened on Sep. 1 and currently houses about 40 lawyers. Amarchand said in a statement that it plans to expand to 70 lawyers in the city.
