Valerie Ford Jacob, the head of the capital markets group at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, is leaving with partners Michael Levitt and Paul Tropp to join Magic Circle firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in New York, according to a half-dozen sources with knowledge of the matter.

The moves are the latest high-profile hires in the U.S. by Freshfields, which last month announced that it had brought on two former partners from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. This week, Freshfields added Shearman & Sterling M&A partner Peter Lyons in New York.
