Allen & Overy has opened an office in Yangon, Myanmar.

The firm actually launched its office last November but held off announcing it because it wanted to further acclimate itself to the country before letting clients know. Myanmar, which is widely believed to have rich mineral and energy assets, is opening its economy and reforming its political system after a half century of isolation under repressive military rule.
