O’Melveny & Myers’s litigation department is like one of those relentless Land Rover vehicles. Regardless of the obstacles in its path, or the bumpy terrain it encounters, the firm’s marquee practice keeps moving ahead. Although the firm has lost key partners in recent years, and the department has contracted, the litigation group still produced a broad range of impressive results for clients such as Apple Inc., Bank of America Corporation, American International Group, Inc., and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. From U.S. Supreme Court victories in cases of constitutional significance, to hard-fought trial wins, to tackling some of the biggest issues facing financial institutions, the firm’s dogged efforts continue to pay off.
This marks the third time that we’ve chosen O’Melveny for our winner’s circle: It won our 2004 Litigation Department of the Year award and was a 2010 finalist. The reason for this continued success is the depth of the firm’s talent.
