A New York appeals court on Monday issued an eleventh-hour stay of former President Donald Trump’s more than $450 million civil judgment—on the condition he posts a $175 million bond in the coming days.

The decision from the Appellate Division, First Department came as New York Attorney General Letitia James was poised to begin seizing the former president’s assets. The panel ruled Trump must post the bond “within ten (10) days” of the order, or by April 4.
