Attorney Ellen Relkin was prepared to file lawsuits over Stryker products used in hip replacements. She sent process servers, with mobile printers and staplers in hand, to the parking lot of the defendant’s registered agent. She also sent process servers to Stryker’s headquarters, where one had to wait for hours and another was told to come back later. In one instance, Relkin recalled, Stryker’s representative ran off when she saw the process server coming.
