For six years, Apollo Group fought whistle-blower allegations that its subsidiary the University of Phoenix violated government rules for accepting federal aid. On Monday, Apollo's lawyers at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and attorneys for the plaintiffs from Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein finally agreed on a price to put the litigation to rest.

Bruce Simon of Pearson Simon, co-lead counsel for the plaintiffs along with with Richard Heimann of Lieff Cabraser, called the jury's decision "magnificent." But Toshiba says the verdict won't cost the company a dime.
