With its latest addition of Kara Brockmeyer, the law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton seems to be cornering the market on former chiefs from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Brockmeyer, former chief of the SEC Enforcement Division’s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Unit, announced her departure last month. Debevoise said Monday that she is joining its Washington, D.C., office as a partner and member of the white-collar and regulatory defense and the strategic crisis response and solutions groups.
