The chair of Saul Ewing’s cybersecurity and privacy practice has been tapped to help investigate Russia’s involvement in the 2016 presidential election.

April Doss, who joined Saul Ewing nearly one year ago, was appointed as special counsel to the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee, effective May 1. The committee has said it will investigate allegations that Russia participated in a disinformation campaign to help President Donald Trump get elected, and allegations that Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia. Congressional committees have already begun to review evidence related to the allegations.
