Baker & McKenzie and client Yahoo Inc. have defeated a lawsuit alleging that they bribed a Mexican judge in a conspiracy to overturn a $2.7 billion judgment.

In a detailed ruling on Thursday, U.S. District Judge Alison Nathan in Manhattan dismissed racketeering, fraud and conspiracy claims against Baker & McKenzie, Yahoo and their Mexican affiliates. The suit was filed two years ago by Mexico-based phone book publisher and online yellow pages provider Ideas Interactivas, along with its holding company Worldwide Directories SA de CV.
