JAY RAND, a former Manatt, Phelps & Phillips and Morrison & Foerster partner who went on to become a name partner at a firm acquired by McCarter & English in 2014, has joined New York’s Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz as a partner.
Frankfurt Kurnit, a full-service New York firm that started as a boutique 40 years ago serving the arts and entertainment communities, has named Rand to the new co-chair of its corporate and finance group. Rand joins the firm from McCarter & English, which in September 2014 merged with New Jersey’s SorinRand, a small corporate firm that restructured itself in 2012 and put Rand on the shingle.
