As most Americans will readily admit, the U.S. jury system has its faults. But to Chen Taihe, a Chinese law professor who was one of 200 lawyers detained by the People’s Republic of China last July, it’s genius.
“There’s no justice if there’s no jury,” said Chen, a former professor at Guilin Electronic Technology University Law School who’s now adjusting to a new life in the United States.
