Two midsize shops added new Chicago offices last week after raiding larger Am Law 100 firms.

Cleveland-based Tucker Ellis, formed a little over a decade ago out of the remnants of busted Am Law 200 firm Arter & Hadden, hired Sidley Austin toxic tort and product liability litigation partners SHERRY KNUTSON and JAMES MIZGALA for its new outpost in the Windy City. They bring Tucker Ellis’ head count to some 200 lawyers, according to Crain’s Cleveland Business, which notes that the firm plans to hire more lawyers in Chicago throughout the year.
