The private equity behemoth announced Tuesday that it has agreed to acquire security systems giant ADT Corp. for $6.9 billion in cash. The transaction is the largest leveraged buyout to date in 2016. Apollo will merge Boca Raton, Florida-based ADT with another Apollo-owned security company, Protection 1.
