Kenneth Ziman, a partner and deputy practice leader of corporate restructuring at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York, is leaving the firm for Lazard Ltd. Ziman becomes the latest Skadden partner to trade legal counsel for financial advice in shifting to Lazard, where he will be a managing director as of March 1, according to a statement by the New York-based boutique investment bank.

It’s the second notable move of Ziman’s career, which began when he worked as an associate at O’Melveny & Myers. Back in 2010, Ziman quietly joined Skadden after leaving his role as a partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. At Lazard, he rejoins former Skadden corporate restructuring partners David Kurtz and Timothy Pohl.
