Describing it as a major boon for the firm, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan said Tuesday it has hired partner Jennifer Selendy away from Kirkland & Ellis in New York.

Selendy, who is married to Quinn Emanuel securities and structured finance chair Philippe Selendy, specializes in antitrust and intellectual property litigation and international arbitration. She joined Kirkland & Ellis in 1999, after she and her husband met as associates at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, and she became a Kirkland partner in 2001.
