Winston & Strawn and Paul Hastings, two Am Law 100 firms whose headquarters are outside New York, made moves Monday to bolster their corporate and finance practices in the Big Apple by raiding McDermott Will & Emery and Proskauer Rose, respectively.
The Am Law Daily noted late last month the departure of Joel Rubinstein, head of McDermott’s capital markets and securities practice, for Winston & Strawn. On Monday, the latter confirmed that Rubinstein would take with him McDermott partners Jonathan Rochwarger and Elliott Smith, as well as associate Daniel Nussen.
