After enduring the scolding of a federal judge last week, the city of Chicago’s law department has tapped Winston & Strawn co-chairman Dan Webb to review the city’s response to federal civil rights claims alleging police misconduct.
Chicago’s corporation counsel, Stephen Patton, said in a statement Sunday that Webb, a former Chicago U.S. attorney, would probe the city law department’s handling of federal civil rights cases involving police practices.
