Five months after Cooley made a bicoastal raid on Reed Smith’s corporate practice, the latter has sought to rebuild that group with a series of lateral hires of its own.
The Am Law Daily reported last week on Reed Smith snagging Shearman & Sterling partner DANIELLE CARBONE in New York to serve as the new head of its U.S. capital markets group. Reed Smith also made two hires from Sidley Austin in counsel S. ROBERT SCHEININGER and associate ANDREW CALLAHAN, who join the firm as partners in its corporate and transactional group.
