The term “donkey balls” isn’t one most lawyers would dare put into a federal appeals court brief.
But lawyers at Arnold & Porter and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan didn’t shy away from doing so on Friday, as they pushed the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit to reinstate trademark protection for the team name of the National Football League’s Washington Redskins.
