The Manhattan judge presiding over the Dewey & LeBoeuf criminal trial answered more questions Tuesday from jurors, who are struggling to weigh dozens of charges against the firm’s former leaders.

In a nearly four-month trial, prosecutors have alleged that ex-Dewey chairman Steven Davis, former executive director Stephen DiCarmine and former chief financial officer Joel Sanders oversaw a scheme to manipulate the firm’s financial records, deceiving lenders and investors about the firm’s performance. Prosecutors and some witnesses have described the adjustments as false or wrong.
