The last of the prosecution’s cooperating witnesses in the Dewey & LeBoeuf criminal trial took the stand on Wednesday, testifying that she improperly manipulated accounting records while at the firm.
Former Dewey revenue support director Dianne Cascino told jurors with a shaky voice that she had reversed expenses that had been written off and placed them back on the firm’s books, thereby inflating revenues. The testimony came as Manhattan assistant district attorney Peirce Moser questioned Cascino about criminal acts she acknowledged committing while at the firm.
