Just in time for summer, EY Legal, the legal services arm of global accounting giant Ernst & Young, is launching a financial regulatory practice in London with 12 lawyers, including two partners from Baker & McKenzie and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

The mass hire comes nearly a year after The American Lawyer reported on big accounting firms encroaching into legal services, much to the chagrin of those wishing to preserve their corner of the market for high-end professional services.
