Wall Street and Am Law 100 firms are increasingly looking to cooperate in battling cybercrimes, with The New York Times reporting this week that discussions between both camps have also included representatives from the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), an Austin-based nonprofit that counts some 2,000 law firms as members.
Sibling publication Law Technology News reported in December on an ILTA survey that found that cybersecurity had trumped email management as the top technology issue concerning even small and mid-sized firms. And with in-house legal departments becoming increasingly proactive about cybersecurity, as recently noted by fellow sibling publication Corporate Counsel, more Am Law 200 firms are hiring data privacy experts to cater to client demand.
