As Bingham McCutchen begins to wind down its operations, nearly 500 pro bono cases that its attorneys had been working on will transfer over to Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, which absorbed the bulk of the firm in a deal announced last month.
Amanda Smith, pro bono partner at Morgan Lewis, estimates the caseload of the combined firms’ pro bono departments could reach 1,500.
