Another day, another few lawyers to add to the growing scrum of attorneys surrounding the National Football League scandal over the indefinite suspension of former Baltimore Ravens star Ray Rice.

Richard Smith, head of regulatory and government investigations at Norton Rose Fulbright in Washington, D.C., has been hired by the National Football League Players Association for its own investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suspension and abrupt release by the Ravens earlier this month of Rice, who himself has retained former Crowell & Moring litigation partner Peter Ginsberg in New York.
