You probably have the wrong idea about why women aren’t gunning for promotions, partnership and the brass ring. Believe it or not, it’s not because women doubt their abilities. The problem is that they take job descriptions too literally. Unless they’re absolutely certain that they meet all the stated qualifications for a new position, they never go after it in the first place.
