Kirkland & Ellis Hong Kong partners Justin Dolling and Carol Liu have advised Chinese private equity firm Orchid Asia Group Management Ltd. on closing a $920 million China-focused fund. Orchid Asia VI was launched in March this year aiming to raise $750 million. According to a press release issued by Kirkland, the fund received strong commitments from investors, including public and private pension plans, endowments and foundations, diversified financial institutions and family offices. It closed last week at its hard cap, with aggregate capital commitments of $920 million.
