Linklaters, Allens and Squire Patton Boggs have the lead roles on a deal which will see two Japanese companies invest $2 billion in Myanmar’s telecommunication sector over the next 10 years.

Japanese telecom operator KDDI Corp. and trading house Sumitomo Group will form a joint venture and work with state-owned Myanmar Posts & Telecommunications to build and operate a 3G mobile network in the newly opened country.
