Fox Rothschild’s nine-month-old Denver office has merged with local firm Lottner Rubin Fishman Saul. The merger, which will become effective July 1, adds 16 new attorneys to Fox Rothschild, including 10 partners.

Fox Rothschild launched in Denver in September with three intellectual property attorneys from Bryan Cave in response to the Patent and Trademark Office announcing that one of its three regional centers will be located there.

With the merger, the office will now be full-service. Office managing partner Neal Cohen says the firm is particularly excited about Lottner Rubin’s real estate practice, which has a strong reputation. “We get a lot of calls about real estate, but we used to have to send them to another Fox Rothschild office," Cohen says. "Now, we can help."

Lottner Rubin managing partner and new Fox Rothschild partner RICK RUBIN says the ability to have a national platform interested his firm. “Our firm also respects Fox Rothschild because it keeps its cost numbers under control,” Rubin says.

In addition to Rubin, partners MARSHALL FISHMAN, RICHARD SAUL, JANET PERLSTEIN, PATRICK CASEY, CHRISTOPHER DAWES, MICHAEL FRIEDMAN, SCOTT ROSS, K. HARSHA KRISHNAN, and SPENCER SEARS will join along with ALAN LOTTNER as counsel and five associates.

Mark Silow, Fox Rothschild’s firmwide managing partner, said the firm is still recruiting in Denver and is aiming for between 20 to 30 lawyers to start. The two firms will initially work out of separate offices until they find space large enough for everyone later this year.
