Well, here’s the dirty little secret of how you might still sneak through the back door: Apply again—as a transfer student. As every middle schooler knows by now, U.S. News & World Report only counts the stats of the entering class in its rankings. So if you’re a transfer candidate whose LSAT scores and GPA fell short the first round, you might have another shot.
Last year a surprising number of top 20 law schools accepted large numbers of transfers, including Harvard. (More on that later.)
