How uncanny. Just last week I gave a talk at a law firm about how women just can’t win. I said that if women don’t push for more pay (which is usually the case), they’ll lag behind what men make. But if they do push for better compensation, managers will resent them and eventually freeze them out.

I was stating a finding from the Harvard Business Review. But lo and behold, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella proved how scary accurate that finding is. During a tech conference, when asked how women should broach the subject of a promotion or a raise, Nadella essentially told women to keep their mouths shut.
