Williams & Connolly, Goodwin Procter on defense in $1 billion BofA mortgage fraud case

Just in time for halloween, Bank of America's litigation nightmare stemming from the mortgage meltdown got even worse on Wednesday, when federal prosecutors in Manhattan filed their own $1 billion complaint in an eight-month old False Claims Act suit accusing the company of selling shoddy loans to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
