New opportunities await of pair of former firm leaders in 2015.

ROBERT MENDES, the ex-chair of Nashville-based MGLAW, which merged two years ago with Am Law 200 firm Frost Brown Todd, has left the latter to start his own shop called Waypoint Law. The Nashville Post reports that Mendes’ new outfit will handle management consulting, transactions, litigation and insolvency cases. This summer, Mendes was named chair of Nashville’s electric service power board.
