One of the three partners hired by Paul Hastings to open its new office in São Paulo has decided to stay put at Allen & Overy, both firms confirmed on Monday. Bruno Soares, a corporate lawyer, was the only Allen & Overy partner of the three hired by Paul Hastings in March who is based in Brazil.
New York-based corporate partners Robert Kartheiser and Cathleen McLaughlin, whose jump from Allen & Overy to Paul Hastings was part of the latter’s expansion into São Paulo, were still at Paul Hastings on Monday.
