Katrina Dawson, a 38 year-old commercial barrister in Sydney’s Eight Selborne Chambers, was one of two killed during the 16-hour siege of the Lindt Chocolate Cafe in Sydney’s central business district on Monday.

Dawson reportedly died while protecting her pregnant colleague Julie Taylor from gunfire. Another captive, Tori Johnson, was also killed, as was the gunman, who has been identified as Man Haron Monis.
