Welcome to the first Am Law 200 Library Survey. For several years, we have wanted to survey law librarians to learn about what is happening in the law firm library. Our sense is that there are lots of trends underway that we would like to understand better. Are libraries shrinking in size? By how much? Are electronic resources displacing paper products? In what ways? What is the future of the law library in a cost-conscious world?

Here is your chance to give us your thoughts and find out what is happening across the street and across the country.

Following this page you will find a questionnaire to answer. For most of the questions, we would like to be able to publicize your answers. But for a few--mostly financial--questions we promise to treat your answers confidentially and just use them to compile overall results.

If you prefer, you can print the survey out, complete it by hand, and fax or mail it to us.

The deadline is FEBRUARY 28th.

The results will be published in the June issue of the AmLaw Tech supplement to The American Lawyer. If you have any questions, please call or e-mail me. Thanks for your cooperation.
