James Skeffington, an Edwards Wildman Palmer-turned-Locke Lord partner in Providence who earlier this year led an ownership group that bought the top minor league team of Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox, died suddenly Sunday night from a heart attack while jogging.

The Associated Press reports that Skeffington, 73, was jogging near his home in Barrington, Rhode Island, when he died, citing information provided by the lawyer’s brother and a spokesman for the Pawtucket Red Sox.
