And In 'Other' News — Gains Were Strong

Among NLJ 350 law firms, 2013 was the year of the “other” attorney.

The firms from 2012 to 2013 saw an 8.8 percent overall increase in the other-attorney category, which includes staff attorneys, of counsel and lawyers who aren’t partners or associates, and excludes contract attorneys. The upsurge was the biggest of any category.
