>> Intellectual property and technology transactions lawyer Heather Meeker has joined O’Melveny & Myers as a partner. Meeker, based in the firm’s Menlo Park, Calif., office, focuses on open source licensing requirements, and will be a member of the firm’s technology transactions group, the firm said in a press release. She leaves Greenberg Traurig, where she was chairwoman of its IP/IT licensing and transaction group.

>> Wilson Legal Solutions has opened a new office in central London, lead by senior director Steve Capon, who will now lead European operations. He recently joined the company from Hogan Lovells, where he served as head of global finance projects. The Newton Square, Pa.-based company helps law firms exploit Thomson Reuters’ Elite practice management software, the company said. The London office will focus on strategic, financial and reporting reviews to help organizations define and execute internal departmental plans, and will provide business intelligence consulting, software implementaion and upgrades, and other services, the company said.
