It’s time to change your passwords. Jose Pagliery reported on CNNMoney yesterday that over 2 million Facebook, Gmail and Twitter passwords have been compromised in a massive hack. He notes the breach was caused by key logging software installed on computers around the world that resulted in a virus capturing the passwords and sending them through a server to the hackers. Of the companies hacked, Facebook users take the number one spot with 318,000 accounts. Gmail with 70,000 and Yahoo with 60,000 accounts are second and third—lucky them!

Pagliery says searching programs and files on computers won’t help users identify whether or not they’ve been affected. Instead, he suggests updating antivirus software and downloading the latest Internet browsers and Adobe programs.
